  • Short Bio / Excerpt:

Vincent Kin-ming Law is a pioneering international fundraising executive, non-profit strategist, and ESG professional based in Hong Kong. With over two decades of experience bridging technical disciplines with philanthropic leadership, he holds the distinction of being the first certified credential holder of the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. Throughout his career, Law has established a reputation for modernizing the non-profit sector by integrating data-driven engineering models, emerging technologies, and strict sustainable frameworks into global resource development.

Law's early professional trajectory was deeply rooted in the hard sciences and engineering. He graduated from Imperial College London with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, initially entering the corporate technology sector to work on application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) chip design. Recognizing a deeper calling toward social impact, he intentionally shifted his career toward philanthropy and non-profit administration. To fortify his understanding of organizational dynamics and human development, he went on to earn a Master of Social Science in the Psychology of Education from the City University of Hong Kong and a Postgraduate Diploma in Lifelong Education from the University of Nottingham.

Equipped with a rare blend of analytical engineering logic and psychological insights, Law built an extensive institutional fundraising career guiding prominent global NGOs. He has held foundational leadership roles across various cross-border non-profits, serving as the Development Director for Asia at World Animal Protection, Senior Business Development Manager for the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation Hong Kong (OPCFHK), and Manager of Relationship and Resource Development for World Vision Hong Kong. He subsequently stepped into micro-and-macro strategy roles, advising global bodies as a Fund Development and Communications Advisor for SOS Children's Villages International.

A passionate advocate for elevating professional fundraising standards across the Asia-Pacific region, Law has consistently dedicated his time to industry governance and academic mentorship. He served an eight-year tenure from 2009 to 2017 as the Hong Kong Chapter President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP-IHQ), and is an active Master Trainer within the AFP Faculty Training Academy. In recent years, he has successfully positioned himself at the forefront of automated philanthropy, serving as a tech-forward AI consultant and lecturing at HKU SPACE on how non-profits can ethically deploy generative AI toolkits to streamline donor stewardship and multiply corporate engagement.

In tandem with his fundraising legacy, Law has deeply leaned into environmental sustainability, currently serving as the Vice President of Development for the IASE Hong Kong Chapter (International Association for Sustainable Economy). Holding advanced industry credentials—including the ESG Certified Professional (ESGCP®), Certified ESG Planner (CEP®), and the IASE International Sustainable Business (ISB®) certifications—he actively educates corporate bodies on carbon neutrality, green education, and modern sustainable cities. Through his diverse civic contributions, which range from local educational school board memberships to historical management of the Imperial College Alumni Association HK, Law remains a driving force for sustainable societal transformation across Hong Kong.
